What a fun challenge I set for myself! Painting started as a fun hobby. Now when I paint something I’ve decided to connect it to something I write. Sometimes the writing comes first and sometimes the painting.

For today’s challenge, I had this painting in mind. I envisioned the painting and then wrote the following poem. The background is based on a photo I took, but I wanted to put myself in the picture.

“Where shall my feet take me today?

A river?

A wood?

A hidden beach?

What wonders await

This path I’m on?

Maybe I’ll find a waterfall!

A hidden treasure in the rocks!

A shell

Or a rock

Smoothed by waves

Oh feet, where will you take me today?”
