The inspiration for this watercolor/poem combination comes from some decorative vases that my sister has placed in a window of her home. I love the colors and the way the light and shadows look.

Life is as fragile as glass And as fleeting as the shadows they cast But light fractured Dances and skips it's way around the room. Fleeting But joyful, happy and warm It's short-lived presence Is not decried for its brevity But celebrated For how our hearts were touched Darkness is not swept out with a broom Only open curtains and open hearts allow The warmth of the sun
