There’s a place I go

That no one knows

And they can never find me



It’s all my own

A place near home

That only I can see



A secret door

And then there’s more

A sandy beach and palm trees!



The breeze that blows

Is never cold

And smells of spice and sand and sea



A toe dipped in

And then I swim

Delighting in my diving



Dolphin flips

And skinny dips

Whatever is my fancy



The sun baked sand

Is my warm friend

As I lay and dry my body



I’ll stay til dark

And then embark

On my return journey



And in my dreams

I will always be

To my Secret Cove returning
